Had a great experience here. Top notch team that explains everything clearly and in detail, and multiple times so theres no confusion. They take care of you from start to finish and the entire staff, doctors to reception, are all friendly and easy to communicate with. Most importantly, they took care of me during and after my surgery, along with all the follow ups (to date). Even prior to surgery, they did multiple checks by different doctors to make sure that theres perspective from multiple viewpoints. My eyes are considerably better now, thanks to the CLEI team. Highly recommend.
Dr. Greenstein was recommended to me when I complained that even with reading glasses I was not able to see clearly. He told me I had cataracts which were affecting my vision. His recommendation was catarct surgery.I had surgery last week on the first eye. The next day I was able to see so well that I no longer need any glasses. This has been an amazing transformation for me. I am scheduled for surgery on my other eye next week. I cannot wait to have this done.Everyone at Dr. Greensteins office has been extremely helpful in preparing me for both procedures and follow up exams.I live on Long Island and can say that traveling to the Cornea and Laser Eye Institute was well worth the trip.
Ive got keratoconus and have spent a lifetime seeing eye doctors. There is no one Ive found better than Dr. Gelles at fitting contacts for problem eyes.
I have been a patient at CLEI ever since I was first diagnosed with Keratoconus in both eyes in 2010. Under their care, my vision has significantly improved which has increased my confidence in performing my daily activities. With CLEI, I have had great success stopping the progression of my Keratoconus as well as managing it firat through Corneal Collagen Cross-Linking (CXL) in both eyes in 2010 with Dr Peter Hersh and in 2020 through Corneal Tissue Addition for Keratoconus (CTAK) in both eyes with Dr Steven Greenstein. Both sets of procedures went well, with no negative side effects, quick recovery times, and I am extremely happy with the results. In addition, after each of the procedures, I have been fitted with specialty contact lenses. While the fittings took several visits to ensure the right fitting for me, the shape of the lenses then remained unchanged until my next procedure. That made for a very easy process to get new lenses due to the age of the lenses or if I needed a changed prescription. Most recently I have been fitted with scleral lenses with Dr. John Gelles after my CTAK procedures. Dr Gelles takes his time to ensure the best fit for me.The entire CLEI Team is friendly, extremely knowledgeable on all the state-of-the-art equipment in the office, and caring. They take their time with me during each visit to ensure all my needs are met and all my questions are answered.Going to CLEI to help with my Keratoconus was a great decision for me.
